Omega

Omega was founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Initially producing pocket watches, the company achieved global recognition with the “Omega” caliber introduced in 1894, which later became the brand’s official name. Throughout the 20th century, Omega earned numerous awards for precision and became the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games starting in 1932. In 1969, the Omega Speedmaster became the first watch worn on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission. The Seamaster line gained fame for its diving excellence, while Omega continues to pioneer modern horology through innovations like the Co-Axial escapement and advanced anti-magnetic technology. Today, Omega operates under the Swatch Group and remains a symbol of performance, innovation, and prestige.
